  今月は10月9日の「世界ホスピス・緩和ケアデー」をお祝いしましょう。
  世界ホスピス・緩和ケアデーは、年に一度の統一行動日となることを目的として、世界中のホスピスと緩和ケアをたたえ、支援する日です。

• 今年のテーマは、「緩和ケアがいかに重要であるか」、また「どこに住んでいても、誰を愛していても、年齢や経歴に関係なく、誰もが緩和ケアを利用できるようにすることがなぜ重要なのか」を、世界に向けて発信することです。 緩和ケアの必要性は、COVID19によって、この1年半の間に特に注目されました。

  この日をどのように祝うかは様々です。 部署内で緩和ケアについての教育的なアップデートを行ったり、キャンペーン用の資料を使って施設内の様々な場所にイベントを祝うポスターを掲示したり、心臓病患者や地域の患者のようなクライアントグループに積極的に緩和ケアをアピールしたりすることもできます。 イベントの大小にかかわらず、すべてのイベントは、あなたの施設や組織、コミュニティで緩和ケアにスポットを当てるための素晴らしい方法です。イベントの写真を送っていただければ、次回のJulie’s Cornerでご紹介させていただきます。

  This month we celebrate World Hospice and Palliative Care Day which is scheduled for 9 October. World Hospice and Palliative Care Day aims to be an annual unified day of action to celebrate and support hospice and palliative care around the world.
  
  This year’s theme is focused on showing the world how vital palliative care is and why it is essential to ensure everyone has access, no matter where they live, who they love, their age or their background.  The need for palliative care has been especially highlighted in the last 18 months due to COVID 19.How you celebrate this day can be varied.  It may be an educational update on palliative care within your unit, or using the campaign material to display posters celebrating the event at various places throughout your facility, or promoting palliative care in a positive way to your client group, for example; heart disease patients or community patients.  All events no matter how big or small are great ways to highlight palliative care within your facilities/ organisations and community.   It would be great if you could send through some pictures of your event so we can share this in the next newsletter.
